Anthropic accidentally triggers mass GitHub takedown & More.
Breaking News
SpaceX has confidentially filed for a $1.75 trillion IPO, aiming to raise around $75 billion — which would make it the largest IPO in history. The move reflects massive capital needs for Starship, Starlink, and AI infrastructure after integrating xAI, positioning SpaceX at the center of both space and AI revolutions.
Anthropic accidentally triggered the takedown of ~8,100 GitHub repositories while trying to remove leaked internal code, due to how GitHub’s fork system works. The incident — coming after a major code leak — raises concerns about operational execution as the company scales toward a potential IPO.

AI firms explore tools to combat extremism using chatbots + human support
A New Zealand startup, ThroughLine, is working with OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google to build a system that detects extremist behavior in chatbots and redirects users to support.
The tool would combine AI responses with real-world intervention, connecting users to a global network of 1,600+ helplines across 180 countries.
Still in development, the initiative reflects growing pressure on AI companies to prevent harm, as chatbots increasingly become a space where users reveal sensitive or dangerous intentions.
Chinese chipmakers gain ground as Nvidia’s dominance slips in China
Chinese AI chipmakers captured ~41% of China’s AI accelerator market in 2025, driven by government push for domestic alternatives amid U.S. export restrictions.
Nvidia still leads with ~55% share, but its dominance is shrinking as local players scale rapidly.
Huawei leads domestic vendors, followed by Alibaba’s T-Head, Baidu’s Kunlunxin, and Cambricon, signaling China’s accelerating push toward AI chip self-reliance.
Baidu robotaxis freeze in Wuhan causing traffic chaos
More than 100 Baidu robotaxis stopped running in Wuhan due to a system malfunction, stranding passengers in fast-moving traffic on a ring road, according to police and Chinese media reports.
Some passengers were afraid to exit because their vehicle had stopped in the middle lane with other cars passing on both sides, while others pushed an SOS button and left on their own.
This is the first reported mass shutdown of robotaxis in China, and Baidu, which operates more than 1,000 driverless taxis mostly in China, did not have any immediate comment.
